CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer is a basic life support program designed for healthcare providers and first responders inside and outside the hospital. The program covers sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, and stroke; foreign body airway obstruction; cardiopulmonary resuscitation; and use of an automated external defibrillator.
CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer program materials are based upon the most recent science, treatment recommendations and guidelines; meet the requirements of the Joint Commission; and are an equivalent and acceptable alternative to resuscitation programs offered by the American Heart Association®, Inc. and American National Red Cross. Additionally, CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer has been nationally approved by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS). CECBEMS is the national accrediting body for Emergency Medical Services continuing education courses and course providers, and employs a peer-review process for accreditation similar to other healthcare professions.
